Bahir Dar; June 3/2020 (AMMA) Ethiopia and Sudan agreed to resume tripartite discussions on the Great Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
Minister of Ethiopian water, irrigation and energy Silesh Bekele (doctor, engineer) discussed with Sudanese counterpart Yasir Abbas Mohamed Ali (professor) and delegates on video conference.
The two sides discussed on issues related with how to resume the tripartite discussions. They also agreed on the procedures of the upcoming discussions and focus areas of their negotiations.
Both parties underscore to finalize bilateral discussions as soon as possible and to resume tripartite discussion participating Egypt. They also raised unsolved main issues of previous discussions.
